Glossary of the terms used across Pilops and this wiki.

AOG
Aircraft on Ground. An aircraft status meaning the aircraft cannot fly until something is fixed, typically maintenance. See Managing your aircraft.
AvGas, Jet-A1
The two fuel types. Piston aircraft burn AvGas, turboprops and jets burn Jet-A1. Each has its own price per pound. See Fuel.
Base airport
The airport you chose during Onboarding. Your first aircraft and your free hangar are created there, and that hangar cannot be moved.
Company
A virtual airline created by a pilot. Companies have an ICAO code, members with roles, their own balance, fleet, hangars and hubs. See Companies.
Flight streak
The daily combo. Completing at least one flight on consecutive days raises the bonus on your deliveries, up to a cap; skipping a day resets it. See Flight streak.
Hangar
Storage for aircraft at a specific airport. Hangars come in sizes with a number of slots. An aircraft needs a hangar at the airport where it is parked. See Hangars.
Hub
A company's base at a real airport. A company's hangars belong to a hub, and the hubs define the company's operating area. The first hub is free. See Hubs and operating area.
ICAO code
The four-letter identifier of an airport, such as SBVT or LPPT. Companies also have a three-letter ICAO code of their own.
Landing score
The score Pilops gives every touchdown, computed from the simulator's data: G-force, pitch angle, bank angle and vertical speed. See Landing score.
lbs
Pounds, the unit Pilops uses for weight internally. You can display kilograms instead in Settings.
Level, XP
Experience points are earned on every completed flight. Enough XP raises your level and your rank. See Levels and XP.
Marketplace
Where pilots sell used aircraft to each other. See Marketplace.
nm
Nautical miles, the unit for distance.
Operating area
The region where a company may buy and rent aircraft, buy hangars, rent stands, create routes and pick up cargo. It is the union of the radius around each of the company's hubs. See Hubs and operating area.
P$, Pilops Coins
The in-game currency, earned by delivering cargo and passengers and spent on aircraft, hangars, stands, fuel and fees. See Pilops Coins.
Pp$, Pilop Points
The second currency, bought with real money. Used for aircraft rentals, hangars, route boosts and speeding up maintenance. See Pilop Points.
Pilops Client
The Windows desktop app that connects Microsoft Flight Simulator to Pilops and tracks your flights. See Pilops Client.
Route
A link between two stands that generates cargo and passengers over time for the pilot or company that owns it. See Routes.
Route boost
Spending Pilop Points to make a route generate a batch of cargo immediately instead of waiting. See Route boost.
Stand
A position you rent at an airport, by the month. Stands come in sizes with a weight capacity, a passenger capacity and a maximum number of routes. See Stands.
Tier
A company's stage: Regional, National or International. Each tier raises the operating radius, the number of hubs and the aircraft categories the company may use. See Company tiers.
