FAQ: short answers to the questions pilots ask most. Each answer links to the page with the details. Problems that happen during a flight (client not finding the simulator, wrong airport, cancelled flights) are covered in Your first flight#Common problems and Installing the Pilops Client#Troubleshooting.

Account

How do I delete my account?
You can do it yourself. Go to Settings, scroll to the Danger zone section and click Delete account. Pilops e-mails you a 6-digit confirmation code; enter it to confirm. Your personal data is anonymised, your avatar is removed and your login is deleted. This cannot be undone. See Deleting your account.
My own profile page does not open
If your profile is set to private, that is currently what breaks the page for you (other pilots are simply redirected). Set it back to public in Settings → Privacy and the page loads again. See Privacy.
Can I change my base airport?
No. The airport you chose during Onboarding is where your first hangar stays. You can buy hangars at other airports and move aircraft there. See Hangars.
I did not get the free Cessna
The free aircraft is only offered to brand-new pilots: level 1 with no flight hours. If you flew before, buy or rent one instead. See Buying an aircraft and Renting an aircraft.

Aircraft

The cargo or fuel capacity of my aircraft is lower than what MSFS shows
The figure in MSFS is usually the maximum take-off weight, which includes the empty aircraft. Pilops shows the useful load: what is left for cargo, passengers and fuel combined once the empty aircraft is accounted for. Fuel and payload share that budget, which is why adding fuel reduces the cargo you can carry. See Fuel and Aircraft catalog.

Companies

Can I transfer my company to another pilot?
Not at the moment. There is no way to do it in the app, and it cannot be done manually either. It is planned for a future update.
I changed my company's ICAO code but it did not save
The ICAO code is set when the company is created and is permanent. The edit form currently still shows the field, which is misleading; the name change goes through, the ICAO does not. See Creating a company.
I cannot create a company, or the hub field is missing
The creation form requires a first hub. If you do not see that field, your browser is running an old version of the app. Do a hard refresh with Ctrl+Shift+R (or Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac). If it still looks the same, clear the site data for Pilops in your browser and reload. See Hubs and operating area.

The app

A page is broken or does not load, and there is no error message
Two things fix most cases: disable any ad blocker for Pilops, and do a hard refresh with Ctrl+Shift+R (or Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac). If it still happens, ask on Discord or open a ticket in Support with the exact message on the screen.
The MSFS replay cancelled my flight
While a flight is tracked, the client stops it if the aircraft jumps more than 2 nautical miles between two readings, which is how it catches teleporting and slew. The replay rewinds the aircraft and snaps it forward again, and the client reads that as a jump. The flight cannot be recovered. Avoid the replay while a flight is being tracked. See Flight cancellation.
