Airports are where everything in Pilops happens. Every real-world airport in the database can generate cargo and passengers, host hangars, and offer stands that pilots rent to build routes. This section covers how to read an airport page and how airports feed the economy.
Pages in this section
- Airport page — searching for an airport and reading its tabs: Details, Cargo, Hangars, Stands and Routes
- Airport size and demand — how small, medium and large airports differ in jobs, passengers and stands
- Stands — renting a stand: sizes, capacity, monthly price, auto-renew and expiry
- Routes — creating routes between stands, route ICAO codes, pausing and statistics
- Route boost — paying Pilop Points to generate cargo on a route right away
The short version
- Jobs appear on demand. When you look at an airport, Pilops generates cargo and passengers heading to nearby airports. Bigger airports generate more and larger jobs.
- Stands are your foothold. Renting a stand at an airport lets you create routes from it. Routes generate jobs on their own, reserved for you or your company.
- Hangars keep your aircraft there. You need a hangar at an airport to base an aircraft at it. See Hangars.
- Airports of Interest on the Airports screen lists every airport where you already have hangars, aircraft, stands or routes.
