Flying is the part of Pilops that happens in the simulator: you plan a flight on the website, fly it in Microsoft Flight Simulator with the Pilops Client open, and get paid when you park. This section explains each piece of that loop. If you have never flown in Pilops, start with Your first flight.
How a flight fits together
- On the Dashboard you see who is flying right now, your balance, your level and your streak.
- Planning a flight is the four-step checklist on the website: aircraft, cargo, fuel, confirm.
- The jobs you load are Cargo and passengers; some passengers belong to special Passenger classes.
- Fuel is bought on the website before you connect, and competes with cargo for the aircraft's weight.
- The flight itself is tracked by the Pilops Client. The Active flight page explains what you see while it runs.
- Your touchdown gets a Landing score, and problems during the flight become flight alerts.
- Flying on consecutive days builds a Flight streak that adds a bonus to your deliveries.
- A flight that goes wrong can be cancelled, by you or automatically. See Flight cancellation.
- Every finished flight lands in your Flight history with the full breakdown.
