Route boost

From Pilops Wiki

This is the approved revision of this page, as well as being the most recent.

A route boost generates a fresh batch of cargo and passengers on one of your routes right away, instead of waiting for the next automatic cycle.

Cost

A boost costs Pp$ 200 in Pilop Points. For a company route, the points come from the company's balance; for a personal route, from yours.

What you get

The boost runs the same generation that the route normally gets on schedule: jobs from the origin stand to the destination stand, within the capacity of the origin stand. The jobs behave like any other route job and stay available for three to seven days.

You can also tick start with a boost when creating a route, which charges the same Pp$ 200 on top of the creation price and gives the route its first jobs immediately.

A boosted route shows a Boosted route tag in the routes list.

When it is worth it

  • You are at the origin airport now, with an aircraft ready, and the route has nothing waiting.
  • You just created the route and do not want to wait for the first cycle.
  • You want to fill a large aircraft from a stand whose regular jobs are too small.

If you are not going to fly the jobs soon, let the regular cycle do its work: boosted jobs expire like any others.
