Hangars

A hangar is where your aircraft live. Each hangar sits at one airport and has a number of slots; an owned aircraft must be in a hangar to fly, and buying an aircraft means choosing the hangar it is delivered to.
Sizes
| Size | Slots |
|---|---|
| Small | 2 |
| Medium | 5 |
| Large | 10 |
Your first hangar, a small one at your base airport, is free and comes with the Onboarding.
Buying a hangar
A new hangar is always small and costs 50,000 P$ or 650 Pp$, at any airport. Open the airport page or Hangars in the app, pick the airport and the currency.
Company hangars belong to a hub: the airport must be inside the company's operating area and each hub holds at most 4 hangars. See Hubs and operating area.
Upgrading
Instead of buying a second hangar at the same airport, you can enlarge the one you have:
| Upgrade | Pilops Coins | Pilop Points |
|---|---|---|
| Small → Medium | 100,000 P$ | 1,300 Pp$ |
| Medium → Large | 500,000 P$ | 5,000 Pp$ |
Selling
An empty hangar can be sold back for 12,500 P$ (25% of the purchase price). A hangar with aircraft in it cannot be sold; move or sell the aircraft first.
Choosing where
A hangar is a geographic decision. Aircraft fly from where they are parked, so a hangar at a large airport puts you next to more and bigger jobs; one at a small field near your favourite region keeps a bush aircraft where you want it. See Airport size and demand.
