Buying an aircraft adds it permanently to your fleet. You pay once, in Pilops Coins (P$) or Pilop Points (Pp$), and the aircraft is delivered to one of your hangars.
Before you buy
- A hangar with a free slot. Every owned aircraft lives in a hangar. The purchase screen asks which hangar to deliver to, and the aircraft appears at that hangar's airport. See Hangars.
- Enough balance in the currency you choose. The catalog shows both prices. See Aircraft catalog.
- For a company aircraft: the hangar must belong to one of the company's hubs, the airport must be inside the company's operating area, and the company's tier must allow the category. See Company tiers and Hubs and operating area.
Every category is available from level 1; there is no level gate on buying a new aircraft.
How to buy
- Open Buy Aircraft in the app and pick a category.
- Choose the aircraft and the hangar it should be delivered to.
- Pick the payment method: your personal account in Coins or Points, or the company account when buying for a company.
- Confirm. The aircraft is created at the hangar's airport with zero hours and a default registration prefix, ready to fly.
After the purchase
- The aircraft starts with zero engine hours and zero cycles. Wear begins with the first flight. See Maintenance.
- You can change its registration prefix, move it to another hangar or sell it later. See Managing your aircraft and Marketplace.
- The purchase shows up in your Bank history.
Buy or rent?
Renting costs a fraction of the price for 30 days and needs no hangar, so it is the cheap way to try a bigger aircraft or to cover a short-term need. Buying pays off when you will fly the aircraft for months. See Renting an aircraft.
