Every company starts at the Regional tier and can be upgraded, in order and permanently, to National and then International. The tier decides how far from its hubs the company may operate, how many hubs it may have and which aircraft categories it may buy or rent.
The three tiers
| Tier | Operating radius | Hubs | Aircraft categories |
|---|---|---|---|
| Regional | 400 nm around each hub | 1 | Propellers, Turboprops |
| National | 1,000 nm around each hub | up to 3 | all four (adds Jets and Airliners) |
| International | 1,000 nm around each hub, and hubs may be placed anywhere in the world | up to 10 | all four |
See Aircraft catalog for the categories and Hubs and operating area for how the radius is used.
Upgrading
An upgrade is bought by the company's admin from the Upgrade Tier button on the company page. Two conditions:
- Completed flights. The company must have completed enough flights in the last 30 days. The company page shows how many are still missing.
- Price. Paid from the company balance, in either currency.
| Upgrade | Flights in the last 30 days | Pilops Coins | Pilop Points |
|---|---|---|---|
| Regional → National | 30 | P$ 200,000 | Pp$ 2,600 |
| National → International | 100 | P$ 1,000,000 | Pp$ 10,000 |
Tiers never go down. Once National, a company stays National or above.
