Dev Notes are the write-ups published with each Pilops update: what changed, why, and what to watch out for. They live on the Pilops blog at https://blog.pilops.com, under the Dev Notes tag: https://blog.pilops.com/tag/dev-notes/
Where they show up
- The blog, linked from the footer of pilops.com.
- The Pilops Client: the Preflight screen has a Dev Notes card with the latest post, so updates reach you inside the sim.
- Discord: each release is announced in the announcements channels, in English and Portuguese, with a summary and the link to the full post.
- E-mail: pilots receive a newsletter when an update ships.
What a Dev Notes post covers
Usually a mix of:
- New features and mechanics, with the reasoning behind them.
- Economy changes: prices, fees, capacities, cancellation rules.
- Changes to companies, stands, routes and hangars.
- A new version of the desktop client, when there is one.
- Features that came from the feedback portal, credited as such.
The Dev Notes are the first place a change is explained. If a page here disagrees with a recent Dev Notes post, the post is newer: update the page if you can.
